Black lentils

Ingredients:

1 cup black lentils

Thyme

Garlic/ginger paste

Turmeric

Salt

Tomatoes

Onions

Carrots

Curry leaves

Water

Procedures :

1.Remove any unwanted rocks or seeds in 1 cup of dry lentils. Then wash and rinse thoroughly.

2. In a pressure cooker, add 1 cup of lentils with 2 cups of water. Add 1 tbsp turmeric powder, salt, garlic and ginger paste. Close the pressure cooker lid. Cook till lentils are soft.

3. In a pan, stir fry onions, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, thyme, carrots, tomatoes and add a bit salt. Put some lentils stock in this mixture to cook after the lentils are ready.

4. Gradually add the lentils in the pan and crush them for enriched flavors.

5. The lentils are ready to be served.
