Chayote dumplings

Ingredients :

1 chayote

salt optional

pepper is optional

some corns

some spring onions

some peas

fish soy sauce

1/2 bowl of corn flour

1 tbsp ginger paste

Procedures :

1.Wash a chayote. Peel off the skin.

2. Grate the entire chayote.

3. Squeeze the grated chayote so as to remove any excess water.

4. In the dry grated chayote, add 1 tablespoon ginger paste, 1/2 a bowl of cornflour (in picture), peas, corns and 2 drops of fish soy sauce. You can add slightly 1/2 pinch of salt as the soy sauce is already salty. Mix well.

5. Make round shape dumplings with the chayote. It should hold. If it doesn’t more cornflour is needed.

6. Oil a pan that is used for steaming so the dumplings don’t stick to the pan.

7. Place the chayote dumplings over the pan.

8. Place water in the lower vessel and steam the dumplings. Some 15 minutes it should be done!

Serve hot with chili sauce!
