Chicken drumstick

Ingredients :

6-8 chicken drumstick pieces

Ginger, garlic paste

Fresh tomatoes (two)

Cinnamon powder

Thyme

Salt

Plain yogurt

Masala powder

Turmeric powder

Coriander leaves

Procedures :

1.Wash and dry the drumstick chicken pieces.

2. Marinate the chicken drumstick with garlic, ginger paste, salt, thyme, cinnamon powder and yogurt. Leave to rest for one hour.

3. Fill half a bowl with ready made masala powder. Add, ginger paste, 2 tablespoon turmeric powder and coriander leaves with some salt. Fill the bowl with water. Mix the masala till there is no lump. Leave masala liquid form to rest for some 30 minutes.

4. Cut tomatoes into thin slices.

5.Put oil in a saucepan. Cook the masala in oil for 10 minutes. The texture will change from thick to thin consistency.

6. Add the tomato slices and cook till soft. Let the masala become yellowish red colour. Add water to cook the masala sauce.

7. Add all the chicken drumstick pieces in the cooked masala. Cover the lid so the chicken can cook over steam in the fried masala mixture.

8. Let the chicken cook for some 15 minutes. With a fork, prick the drumstick to see if the flesh is tender.

9. Serve hot.
