Choco dates

Ingredients :

1 packet of dates

milk chocolate bars that will be melted (mine is cadbury)

white chocolate chips or bars that will be melted

handful of almonds

handful of walnuts

handful of sugar coated fennel seeds

Powdered coconut

Optional : cashews, peanuts ..

Procedures :

1. Prepare a baking tray by placing cooking paper on it.

2. Open all the dates from the middle and remove all the seeds inside each dates. Fill the inside of each date with almond or walnut or cashew or peanut.

3. In a bowl, break all the milk chocolate bars. Put the bowl in microwave and heat for 30 seconds. Remove and stir. Keep the bowl in microwave for another 30 seconds. Stir the melted chocolate again. Repeat this process till there is no lump.

4. In another bowl, break all the white chocolate bars. Or simply melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave every 30 seconds till they are melted. Stir well and make sure there is no lump.

5. With one hand, dip each enclosed almond/cashew/walnut/peanut date in the melted chocolate. With a fork roll the surface of the date in the melted chocolate so that the date is covered completely with chocolate. Lift the date with the fork and avoid the melted chocolate from dripping. Then place the date on cooking paper. Repeat the same process by dipping the date in milk chocolate and white chocolate.

6. On the baking tray, we now decorate each date. Either sprinkle dates with powdered coconut or sugar coated fennel seeds or using the melted milk chocolate as fine lines over the white chocolate date.

7. Place the dates in freezer for 25-30 minutes till the outside coated chocolate solidifies.
