Cutlets of potatoes and tuna fish

Ingredients :

  1. One tin of tuna fish (canned) in oil
  2. Two medium sized potatoes
  3. A few tbsp of spring onions
  4. 3-4 slices of bread
  5. 2 beaten eggs with a pinch of salt
  6. Breadcrumbs in one bowl
  7. oil

Procedures :

1.In a large bowl, mix a tin of tuna fish (canned having oil) with the two already boiled medium sized potatoes. Keep the oil from the tuna. Mash everything with a potato masher. or fork or using your hands as per your convenience.

2. Break into smaller pieces 3-4 slices of bread and add to the bowl. Mix and mash again.

3.Add a few tablespoon of spring onions and mix again.

4.Add salt to taste. Mash.

5. Make long and short tuna and potato cutlets with your hands. They should not break easily. (That’s why we use some bread pieces).

6. Beat 2 eggs in a bowl and add a pinch of salt. Then roll the potato and tuna cutlet in eggs.

7. Then, roll the potato and tuna cutlets in breadcrumbs.

8. Deep fry the potato and tuna cutlets in a frying pan while the oil is hot. On medium flame let the cutlets fry till golden brown.

9. Repeat same dipping and frying process for all the cutlets.

10. Place the cutlets on cooking paper to absorb any excess oil.

Serve hot as snack with chili sauce, mustard sauce, chutney etc..
