
Ingredients :
1/2 cup urad dhall
2-3 tablespoon chana dhall
1 tbsp fenugreek seeds
3-4 tablespoon flattened rice/poha
1/2 cup rice
1 cup and 1/4 cup of water
salt
Procedures :
- Mix urad dhall with chana dhall and fenugreek seeds in a bowl. Wash and soak.
- In another bowl, wash and soak flattened rice (poha) for 30 minutes.
- Wash rice and soak the rice for 4 hours.
- Remove water from dhall mixture and flattened rice(poha)
- In a mixer, combine the dhall mixture with the flattened rice (poha), add some (1 1/4 cup of water and grind everything. Add some salt to the mixture.
- Blend the batter till a frothy mixture is obtained.
- Blend 1/2 cup of rice with 1/2 cup of water and blend in a smooth batter.
- Pour the rice mixture blend with the dhall mixture blend. Mix the batter.
- Cover the batter and allow to ferment for 15-16 hours.
- After some 15 hours and fermentation process completed, heat a pan with butter. With a laddle take some batter and pour on the pan. Allow to cook for a few minutes till golden brown. Flip to cook on both sides. Serve with potatoes and coconut chutney
