Gateau Gingeli or sesame balls

Ingredients :

200 g flour

50 g self-raising flour

50g milk powder

60 g sugar

2 tbsp ghee

a pinch of salt

room temperature water to make dough

1 bowl white sesame seeds

oil for frying

Procedures :

  1. Mix 200g flour with 50g self-raising flour, 50 g milk powder, 2 tbsp ghee, a pinch of salt and 60 g sugar. Mix everything with the fingers.
  2. Add enough water little by little to form a dough not too soft and not too hard.
  3. Make small round balls with the dough.
  4. Take each ball, place in water and remove quickly, then roll the same ball over sesame seeds. Repeat for all balls.
  5. Put oil to heat in a deep frying pan.
  6. Fry on low heat.
