
Ingredients :
400 g ground rice
100 g milk powder
2000 ml liquid milk
1 tbsp cardamon powder
2 cups sugar
4 tbsp butter
Procedures :
1.On the eve of cooking the rice cakes, wash 400g rice, soak the rice for some 20 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside overnight till the rice grains become dry.
2.In the morning, roast the rice on medium flame till golden brown.
3. Place small batches of roasted rice in a grinder and grind the rice till a fine rice powder is obtained.
4. In a bowl, add400g of ground roasted rice, add 100mg of powdered milk, 1 tablespoon of cardamon powder and 2 cups of sugar. Give a good mix.
5. In a pan, heat 4 tablespoon of unsalted butter and add 2000 ml of liquid milk.
6. Let the milk boil and at the same time spread fine rice powdered form in the milk. Allow all liquid milk to evaporate till a thick mixture is obtained. Then cover the pan and allow the ground rice to steam.
After the ground rice is cool, make small balls with the ground rice. Optional is to add coconut powder on the rice ball cakes. Enjoy as snack for tea time.
