Gulab Jamun

Ingredients :

For the dough :

175 g white flour

50 g self raising flour

25g semolina unroasted

25 g milk powder

1 tbsp ghee

1/4 tsp cardamon powder

1 tsp baking powder

1 bowl of condensed milk 175 g

For the syrup :

175 g white sugar

200 ml water

few cardamon seeds

oil for frying

Procedures :

  1. In a bowl, add 175g of white flour sifted.
  2. Add 50g of self raising flour in the same bowl. Mix.
  3. Then add 25g of semolina.
  4. Put 25g of milk powder. Mix.
  5. Add 1 tbsp of ghee.
  6. Then add 1/4 tsp of cardamon powder, add 1 tsp baking powder. Mix
  7. Add 175 g of condensed milk.
  8. Mix everything till you get a dough.
  9. Then with the hand make small round shape then roll in palm of hands to form gulab jamun dough.
  10. Fry the gulab jamun and reserve in a bowl.
  11. To prepare the syrup, put 200 ml water in a pan, add 175 g sugar, few cardamon seeds, and jaffran threads. Allow the syrup to boil.
  12. Remove from heat, allow to cool.
  13. Plunge the fried gulab jamun in the syrup for 30 seconds and remove.

Serve as a sweet dessert after a meal !
