Halwa Carrot

Ingredients :

1 L milk

300 g approx of carrots

2 tbsp ghee

condensed milk to taste

few handful of raisins

1 tsp cardamom powder

Few cashew nuts cut into pieces

Slices of almond

Procedures :

  1. Grate carrots till you get 300 g approximately. Put aside.
  2. Put 1 litre milk to boil.
  3. As milk starts to boil, add the grated carrots and cook by stirring.
  4. While cooking, add condensed milk to taste.
  5. Add few or handful raisins.
  6. Add cut pieces of cashew nuts.
  7. Add cardamom powder.
  8. Cook everything till the carrots and milk become a thick mixture.
  9. Add almond pieces over halwa.
  10. Gajar ka halwa (Halwa carrot) can be served hot or chilled as dessert.
