Idli different flavours

Ingredients for cocoa idli :

1 cup semolina

1 cup self- raising flour

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup milk powder

1 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp melted butter unsalted

1 tbsp vanilla essence

1/2 tsp cocoa powder

butter to grease idli mould

water for steaming idlis

Procedures:

  1. Mix semolina, self-raising flour, sugar, milk powder, baking powder together.
  2. Add melted butter to the dry mixture. Mix.
  3. Add vanilla essence.
  4. Add 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
  5. Grease idli moulds and add runny batter.
  6. Steam for 15 minutes.

Repeat the same procedure but instead of adding vanilla essence and cocoa powder, add strawberry flavouring, vanilla essence, almond flavouring/colouring to the running batter.
