Japanese style crab stick salad

Ingredients :

250 g crab sticks

200 g cabbage

3 tablespoon mayonnaise

salt to taste

1 tbsp Ginger paste

2 tablespoon of soy sauce mixed with lemon juice (ponzu sauce)

3-4 tablespoon of spring onion

Optional : some corns

2-3 tablespoon of vinegar to soak shredded cabbage

Procedures :

  1. Wash the crab sticks and put to boil in a pan of water. After boiling has reached and the crab sticks are soft, drain the water and cut thinly the crab sticks.
  2. Shred long and thick cabbage slices. Soak the cabbage slices in water containing some vinegar and salt to remove any bacteria. After one hour, drain all the water and reserve in a bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, put the crab sticks, add the shredded cabbage. Mix everything without breaking the crab sticks. Then add 3 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of ginger, 2 tbsp ponzu sauce, some spring onions. Mix everything and stir. Add some salt to taste

Serve with bread slices, rice or pasta!
