Malpua

Ingredients :

2 cups of plain white flour

1 cup of semolina (greau)

1/4 cup of sugar

1 tbsp of fennel seeds

1 tbsp freshly crushed cardamom powder

1 tsp baking powder

600 ml lukewarm milk

Procedures:

  1. In a bowl, sift 2 cups of white flour.
  2. Add 1 cup of semolina to the flour.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of sugar.
  4. Add 1 tbsp of fennel seeds.
  5. Add 1 tbsp of crushed cardamom powder.
  6. Add 1 tsp of baking powder.
  7. Add a small bowl of raisins.
  8. Add 1 banana and mash it to the mixture.
  9. Add 600 ml lukewarm milk. Batter should be runny.
  10. In a frying pan, add oil and heat it.
  11. Using a laddle, take a portion of the batter. Put in oil to fry.
  12. Fry till both sides have become golden.

Serve hot with tea or coffee or milk!
