Mung bean soup

Ingredients :

1/2 cup sprout / mung beans

4 cups water

Oil

Spices : fresh ginger paste, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, 1 pinch asoefida

Procedures :

  1. Wash the sprout beans and reserve.
  2. In a pan, heat oil in medium flame.
  3. Cook ginger paste, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and asoefida in oil for a few minutes.
  4. In a pressure cooker, add 1/2 cup sprouted beans, salt and 4 cups water. Close the lid and cook the sprouted beans till tender.
  5. Strain sprouted beans and reserve some water.
  6. Add the cooked sprouted beans in the pan with the cooked spices.
  7. Add water to make a soup out of the sprouted beans. Add additional salt as per your taste. Keep stirring. Serve hot the sprouted beans.
