Puri with yogurt

Ingredients :

200 g self raising flour

1 tbsp plain yogurt

A pinch of salt

Water to form a dough

oil for frying

Procedure :

  1. Take 200g self raising flour and sift in a bowl.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of yogurt to the flour.
  3. Add a pinch of salt to the flour.
  4. Mix with hands.
  5. Heat water till warm.
  6. Pour warm water over the flour little by little so as to form a dough.
  7. Once the dough is malleable, make small circular shape with the dough.
  8. With a rolling pin, flatten the circular shape dough. 0.5 cm thickness.
  9. Pour oil in a deep pan. Allow oil to be hot.
  10. Fry the puri’s (flattened dough) on medium heat.
  11. The puri’s should be cooked on both sides for 1 minutes. The puri will also come enlarged during frying.
