Red kidney beans

Ingredients :

1 1/2 cup red kidney beans

1 medium size potatoes

water

pinch salt

1 tsp turmeric powder

2 tbsp masala powder

Procedures :

  1. Wash and rinse thoroughly 1 1/2 cup of red kidney beans. Reserve
  2. Wash potato, peel off the skin and dice in cubes the potatoes.
  3. Fill water 1/2 quantity in the pressure cooker. Add the raw kidney beans and the potatoes. Add some salt and turmeric powder. Close the lid. Cook till smooth. Remove from cooker.
  4. Drain the water in a bowl. And seperate the cooked kidney beans and potatoes in another bowl.
  5. In a pan, add some oil. Fry the powder masala and add some reserved water from the pressure cooker to make a sauce. Stir and cook. The masala powder should not be grainy.
  6. Then add the cooked red kidney beans and potatoes. Stir with the masala without breaking the beans and potatoes.
  7. Add some salt if needed.
  8. Serve hot with rice, chicken, green beans!
