














Ingredients :
250 g par for samosa
2 large potatoes
veggies : 1/2 bowl for each – onions, peas, corns, spring onions, carrots
spices: 2 tbsp mustard seeds, 1 tbsp saffron/turmeric powder
grated cheddar cheese
salt
1/2 glass of water
oil
For glue- 1 cup of sieved white flour with water – make a paste
Procedures :
- Cooking the potatoes and veggies
1. Wash 2 large potatoes. In a pressure cooker, boil the 2 potatoes till soft. Remove and strain the water. Peel off the outer skin.
2. Prepare 1/2 bowl with the following veggies : 1 diced onion, few peas, grated carrots, few spring onions, corns
3. Grate some cheddar cheese
4. In a pan, heat some oil. Add the onions and mustard seeds. Fry on low heat. Add the boiled potatoes. Allow to cook. Mash with a fork while cooking.
5. Add turmeric powder, all the other veggies (corns, peas, carrots, grated cheese, spring onions). Mix thoroughly.
6. Add 1/2 glass of water and cook till soft. Add salt to your taste.
2. Preparing the glue paste
- In a bowl, sieve 1 cup of white flour.
- Add water and mix till there is a liquid paste. There should not be any lump.
3.Filling the samosa
- Place one par of samosa on a plate.
- Horizontally place glue with finger on the long border.
- Fold one side of the par.
- Take the folded par and fold to the upper side of it.
- Inside there is a cone in which you can fill the potatoes and veggies.
- Flatten the bottom part of the filling and close it then fold over the other side.
- Keep folding up and down with the glue till the samosa is closed completely.
- Follow the pictures as guidance.
- Repeat for all par of samosa.
4.Frying the samosa
- In a pan, heat oil.
- You can shallow fry each samosa once the oil is hot. Fry by turning the samosa upside down.
- The samosa will turn light brown. Remove from oil.
