











Ingredients :
250g semolina
95g self raising flour
225 g unsalted butter
200g sugar
4 eggs
3 tbsp milk powder
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp crushed or powdered cardamon
pinch of jaffran
1/2 cup of liquid milk
sesame seeds
Procedures :
- In a bowl, add 225 g unsalted butter with 200 g sugar and beat with a hand held mixer till soft and you notice a change in colour.
- Add 1 egg and beat. Then repeat same with 3 more eggs. Beat again.
- Add 250g semolina, beat again.
- Add sifted 95g self raising flour, beat again.
- Add 3 tbs milk powder beat again.
- Add powdered cardamon. Beat again.
- Add few jaffran threads. Mix.
- Add baking powder.Beat again.
- Add 1/2 cup liquid milk. Mix.
- Now, butter a baking tray.
- Pour the batter in the tray
- Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
- Cover the baking tray with aluminium sheet.
- Bake the semolina cake 170 C for 50-60 minutes.
- Check with a wooden stick if the cake is cooked inside.
- After the cake has cooked, then demould.
- Serve semolina cake with tea!
