Toor dhall with pasta

Ingredients :

1 cup toor dhall

1 cup pasta shell

1 tomato

1 onion

few curry leaves

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

salt to taste

5 tbsp oil

achar/ pickle mango

tomato salad to accompany the dhall pita

Procedures :

  1. In a pressure cooker, heat 4-5 tablespoon of oil.
  2. Fry chopped onions lightly.
  3. Add curry leaves and fry.
  4. Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Fry lightly
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and fry lightly.
  6. Add one cup of clean toor dhall.
  7. Half fill the pressure cooker with water.
  8. Add 1 cup of pasta.
  9. Add salt to taste.
  10. Optional : add 1 tbsp of turmeric powder.
  11. Close the lid of pressure cooker. After a few whistles, the dhall pita should be soft and creamy!

Serve with mango pickle or with tomato salad!
