White cabbage soup

Ingredients :

200 g white cabbage

1 tomato

1 onion

few curry leaves

Ginger/garlic paste

a pan of water

oil

salt

Procedures :

1. Shred cabbage leaves into long thick slices. Soak in a pan of water with salt and vinegar to remove impurities. After one hour, drain the water.

2. Wash a tomato and cut into long slices.

3. Peel off an onion and cut into slices.

4.Wash the curry leaves.

5. In a pan add 1 tbspoon of oil and heat.

6. Once the oil is hot, add 1 spoon of ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, onions and tomatoes slices. Cook for some minutes till soft on medium heat.

7. Then after a few minutes, fill the pan with water and allow boiling to take place.

8. Once boiling has reached, add the shredded cabbage. Cook for a few minutes.

9. Add some salt to your taste.

Serve hot white cabbage soup with rice, potato chutney and pilchards !!
